After settling in, you can set out to explore the many fascinating attractions that Cochin has to offer, such as the Folklore Museum, Jew Town, Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays and Saturdays), Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays), St. Francis Church (closed on Sundays), Santa Cruz Basilica, Fort Kochi Beach, Chinese Fishing Nets, Marine Drive, and Lulu Mall, where you can indulge in some shopping. 2 Days (10 Nov (Sun) : Arrive in Cochin & drive to Munnar (4hrs))
As you arrive at the lovely port city, get ready to embark on a breathtaking tour that will take you on a picturesque 4-hour road trip to Munnar, which is famously known as the "Kashmir of South India". Along the way, you'll be mesmerized by the stunning views of spice plantations and the awe-inspiring Valara and Cheeyappara Waterfalls. Once you arrive at your hotel, you can unwind and relax. You'll have plenty of leisure time to explore Munnar, where you'll spend the night.
3 Days (11 Nov (Mon) : Munnar full day tour!!)
Rise to a picturesque morning. After breakfast, proceed to Eravikulam National Park(Feb to March Closed) (Rajamalai) for a glimpse of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr amidst the lush green hills. Post lunch, visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Munnar Tea Gardens, Tea Museum (closed Mondays), and a tea factory. Optionally, enjoy an elephant ride (at your expense), wander through Rose Garden, Pothamedu View Point, Hydel Park, and photo shooting spots. Wrap up with tea powder shopping. Overnight stay at your hotel in Munnar, resting up for more adventures ahead.
4 Days (12 Nov (Tue) : Munnar to Thekkady (3 hrs.))
After a nutritious breakfast, checkout from the hotel. Now, you will be moving to the rousing expanses of "Thekkady". On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. The day now treats you to a Jeep safari (Own cost) in Periyar National Park, a famous wildlife sanctuary home to herds of elephants, Sambhar, Tigers, Gaur, lion-tailed macaques, Nilgiri, Langurs and more. After the enthralling safari, you can enjoy boating (own cost) in Periyar Lake to watch wild animals up close. Returning from the boat ride, you can visit spice plantations and do some local shopping. Also, see Kathakali Show & Kalarippayattu Show (if time permits, at your own cost). 5 Days (13 Nov (Wed) : Thekkady to Kumarakom by Road (3.5hrs.))
After a nutritious breakfast, checkout from the hotel. We'll set off by road to Kumarakom, an enchanting emerald peninsula that extends into the vibrant Vembanad Lake. Here, you can immerse yourself in a peaceful setting and witness traditional country crafts, boats, and canoes. Kumarakom offers a chance to explore, including a visit to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (entry ticket and boat charges at your own expense). This sanctuary, a haven for bird enthusiasts, hosts migratory species like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron, and teal. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
6 Days (14 Nov (Thu) : Kumarakom to Cochin drop with local sightseeing (if time permits) (2hrs))
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, it will be time to check out from your current location and proceed to Cochin. Once you arrive, you can explore Cochin on a half-day sightseeing tour, including several noteworthy attractions such as the Jewish Synagogue, Chinese Fishing Nets, Fort Kochi Beach, Dutch Palace, Jew Town, St. Francis Church, and Lulu Mall, where you can indulge in some shopping. Later, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station to catch your flight or train back home.
